Hi Alisa 🙂
You 8767 re definitely not doing it wrong! Art is, almost by definition, to be defined by the artist (that 8767 s you 🙂
I 8767 m guessing you were going for the rhyming and that the author 8767 s mention of 8766 sound 8767 guided you toward that specific type of sound/poetry. Well poetry doesn 8767 t have to rhyme, certainly doesn 8767 t have to have any lines working with each other. but one beautiful thing is that it CAN!

Froth and spirits sending dreams of chairs and inspiration
Karma subtle and sorcery bright as foggy lenses

Bear crawls for when it has none
Sounds like a great idea and definitely worth a try. I 8767 ll be going to a writing retreat in June, so I 8767 m printing this out to take with me. My goal will be to use this exercise to get the creative juices flowing. Thanks for the playful nudge!

When you summarize, you are offering an overview of an entire text, or at least a lengthy section of a text. Summary is useful when you are providing background information, grounding your own argument, or mentioning a source as a counter-argument. A summary is less nuanced than paraphrased material. It can be the most effective way to incorporate a large number of sources when you don 8767 t have a lot of space. When you are summarizing someone else 8767 s argument or ideas, be sure this is clear to the reader and cite your source appropriately.

Take the following example: You work for a company that is considering turning some land into a theme park. On that land there happens to be a river that your bosses think would make a great white-water rafting ride. They 8767 ve called on you to assess whether or not that ride would be a good idea.
